We tour St Andrews then move on to explore the quaint fishing villages
of the East Neuk (corner) of Fife – Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St
Monans, Elie and Largo (birthplace’ of Robinson Crusoe). We return to
St Andrews via a rural scenic route which passes through lovely
countryside and offers fabulous views across the Firth of Forth and the
North Sea.

| We tour St
Andrews then travel down the Howe of Fife to the ancient Royal Burgh
(town) of Falkland and the historic Palace – a former Royal hunting
lodge. Weather permitting, we visit the East Lomond viewpoint for
wonderful panoramic views of the Fife coastline. We pass through
the Royal Burgh of Auchtermuchty (birthplace of Jimmy Shand and The
Proclaimers!), and travel to Dunfermline, ancient capital of Scotland.
There, we can visit Dunfermline Abbey and Royal Palace; and the
birthplace of Andrew Carnegie – pioneer industrialist in America and
philanthropist. We visit the quaint Royal Burgh of Culross before
returning to St Andrews.

| From St Andrews we head
for the Fair City of Perth and then on to the attractive spa town of
Crieff. Just beyond Crieff is Glenturret Distillery – home of The
Famous Grouse whisky - where we spend some time touring the distillery
and – if you wish - sampling The Spirit of Scotland. We return via
Dundee and cross the ‘silvery Tay’ to St Andrews.

| From St Andrews
we cross the River Tay to the City of Dundee and north to Glamis Castle,
family home of the Earls of Strathmore and childhood home of Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. The castle is also the legendary
setting for Shakespeare's "Macbeth". Our VIP tour includes a personal
welcome at the front door of the Castle, light refreshments in the
exclusive 16th century Castle kitchens (not included in standard tours),
a personal tour guide who will share the many fascinating stories and
legendary tales that make up the Castle's rich history, and other
special privileges including permission to take photographs during your
tour (normally not permitted). Time permitting, you can spend time
exploring the Castle Gardens and Grounds or sample home cooking in the
Victorian Kitchen Restaurant. Homewards through the Vale of Strathmore
and Dundee. PRE-BOOKING ESSENTIAL. MINIMUM PARTY SIZE - 4 PEOPLE.

| From St
Andrews we head for the Fair City of Perth and travel to Blair Castle -
one of Scotland’s finest – and to House of Bruar, acknowledged as
Scotland’s most prestigious independent country store for wonderful food
and some quality retail therapy! Back home via beautiful Dunkeld,
Strathmore and Dundee.

| From St Andrews, we cross the
magnificent Forth Road Bridge then on to Edinburgh – Capital of Scotland
and one of the world’s most beautiful cities. We take in numerous
places of interest including Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Royal
Yacht Britannia; and there will be plenty of time to shop and sightsee.

| From St Andrews we
cross the ‘silvery’ River Tay to Dundee and onward toward the scenic
highlands of Scotland, via Blairgowrie and Beatrix Potter’s town of
Birnam/Dunkeld with its beautiful cathedral. We travel through
Strathbaan and the Tay Forest Park to the lovely town of Aberfeldy.
There we visit Dewars Distillery to sample the “Spirit of Scotland”. We
return via Ballinluig, and Strathtay passing through north Fife to St
Andrews.

| From St
Andrews, we head for the historic city of Stirling via Gleneagles. We
visit Stirling Castle - a great symbol of Scottish independence and a
source of enduring national pride; and the Wallace Monument - dedicated
to the memory of William Wallace (Braveheart). We then head for the
lovely towns of Aberfoyle and Callander passing through the beautiful
Trossachs – one of Scotland’s most scenic areas. We return to St
Andrews via Stirling and Kinross passing by Loch Leven where Mary Queen
of Scots was imprisoned on an island castle.

| From St
Andrews we cross the River Tay to the City of Dundee then journey
northwards into the scenic southern Highlands, part of the Cairgorms
National Park. We climb over the Cairn o’ Mount mountain pass and stop
at the viewpoint for stunning panoramic views. Then on through the
picturesque towns of Banchory, Aboyne and Ballater all having strong
links with the Royal Family whose family home - Balmoral Castle - is our
destination. Balmoral has been the Scottish home of the Royal Family
since 1848 during the reign of Queen Victoria. Since then it has passed
down successive generations to the present day Family. The Queen, The
Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Charles especially take a close interest in
running and improving the Balmoral Estates. We return through Braemar,
the highland pass of Glenshee, Blairgowrie and Dundee. BALMORAL

| From St Andrews we travel to
Perth, Dunkeld and the lovely town of Pitlochry. We visit the stunning
Queen’s View looking over Loch Tummel and then over mountain roads to
Aberfeldy. We travel along the shores of Loch Tay to Killin and then
homewards by Loch Earn and Crieff.
